What will I get by the end of the Mini MFA? Will I finish my book?
You’re gonna finish things you haven’t even imagined yet. During the Mini MFA, we’re practicing living the writer’s life — which means accepting in all of our projects in all their genres and all their stages. Usually in classes like Radical Collapse and Radiant Academia writers tend to make serious progress (100-250 pages) on their novels. What’s also exciting is that everyone tends to write in a new genre, come up with a new idea, make changes in their novel for the better, and find new motivation and clarity to help them finish.
However, close mentorship from me is a key part of the Mini MFA. So if you have a specific goal and want to work on your process to meet it, that’s what I’m here for. You can absolutely hit your writing goals — my only ask of the writers in this community is that you allow your writing goals to shift and stretch as you learn from me, your peers, and your own work.
What if I sign up for mini MFA now but later realize I can't make the second half (Radiant Academia in the Fall?)
Life happens, and I want you to be able to show up as fully as you can for your group and your writing. Remember we have all of August off before the new term. If you let me know you'd like to not join RA before the end of July, I'll be able to end your payment plan or issue a refund for the second half. If you let me know anytime in august or September I can process a pro-rated refund.
Instead of the Mini MFA, can I just do either Radical Collapse or Radiant Academia separately?
Sure! Just keep an eye out for Radiant Academia registration in July, if there are spaces left. You can sign up for Radical Collapse now! (pay in full / payment plan)
Can I join Writing Behind the Scenes right now to get my 20% discount on Alchemy, Symbolism, and the Mythic Journey?
I would love it if you do that! WBTS is yet another resource and active community to add to your writing arsenal. It's a great investment to join both at the same time. I don’t see this as taking advantage, I see this as doubling your writing resources.
